The Summary

Three college students have a good time at a resort in Mexico. . . up till one of them vanishes.

Everyone is holding a secret, including Avery's family, friends, the resort's employees, and its affluent visitors, as a desperate search for missing student Avery Jennings gets under way. Victoria Heslin, an FBI Special Agent, must do more research. She is motivated to prevent Avery from joining the ranks of other missing people because her own mother was kidnapped many years ago.

When the Mexican government refuses to cooperate, Victoria learns she is facing a stronger adversary than she had anticipated. She decides to take matters into her own hands and plunges headfirst into a terrifying ordeal that will put all of her strength and bravery to the test.

My Review

This is the first book by Jenifer Ruff that I've read.

I'll just add that I loved the book! I was hooked after just a few pages. I can't help but have the impression that the probe also includes me. Everyone should be aware of how well this book can draw me in just from that fact.

Even if the narrative itself isn't really original, I must admit that it has excellent storytelling. Although the tale moves quickly, you don't really feel like anything is missing because the characters all have a significant amount of their backstories, which are all really pertinent.

One story that combines suspense, tension, and thrills. This is a complete page-turner that will keep you interested in one sitting. Despite the fact that this is my first book in a series, I will surely read the others since I think this is a series that deserves to be continued.

Along with the narrative, there is a lesson you can take away from it: wherever you go, be vigilant because criminals are not aware of your identity.

My Review

I won't deny that I'm eager to read this when I finally get my hands on it. I absolutely adore it! This second book in a series is even better than the first one, in my view. I still suggest reading the series in order, even if this second book begins up right where book one left off.

This story is incredibly heartwarming and endearing, and I couldn't be happier with it! In A Seaside Wonder, Indi and Philip's story is told. These two meet on the worst night of Indi's life. One awful tidbit of news followed another.

Philip and Indie's encounter was ideal. Because they were so sympathetic to one another's hardships, I loved how their friendship grew. It seemed incredibly sensible. Philip and Indi begin to find healing as their lives entwine after concealing their thoughts surrounding life-altering events.

Not just the two main characters, but other characters as well, were well developed, complex, and intriguing. Since each of them adds complexity and meaning without excluding any of the characters, readers may be able to relate to all of them.

The narrative moved along smoothly and was engaging from start to finish. I love the author's writing since it makes me feel magically, if you know what I mean. I almost get the impression that I'm in a fantasy setting.

A wonderful and jumbled-together family is presented in the delightful backdrop of a little Maine town with a dash of intrigue and a dash of faith. The debut of the new series was something I couldn't wait for!

My Review

One of the sweetest stories I've ever read is this one. What I was looking for is in the book.

This is a great story about Ella, who uses horses for equestrian therapy but for people, and a young child named Hope who requires the horses, but I won't go into details because I don't like spoilers. It's a touching story about forgiveness, letting go of the past, and faith.

Every single character is endearing and completely relatable. A story with outstanding character development that focused on people who were really damaged and in desperate need of healing.

Of course, there is the local community, which is weaved throughout the main narrative and is welcomed in such a place. You seem to be a part of them, somehow.

The plot's slow-burning pace, steady unraveling of the character's complicated inner worries, and consistent pacing keep the reader turning pages in anticipation of what will happen next.

Although the language is amusing and playful, it has a profound significance. It's similar to paying a senior neighbor a visit and talking to them.

Overall, I had a hard time putting this amazing book down. Despite the predictability of the scenario, I was deeply moved by the author's skill at smoothly incorporating each piece of artwork into the story.

An excellent book to read when you want to lift your spirits or when you're feeling sad.

Kate appears to be further away from her objective than ever as the year's end draws near. Could Kate's obsession with her quest lead her to let real love slip through her fingers for all time as relationships fall apart around her and sinister, long-kept secrets come to light?

My Review

What a sweet story! Reading this novel was like riding a roller coaster. At a wedding on New Year's Eve, Kate, a woman in her 40s who is still single, promises inebriatedly that she will find someone to kiss in the next year.

In the book about loving oneself as much as finding love in others, the main character Kate and her friends embark on a journey of self-acceptance and healing.

I really admire Kate's character since she was true to herself and didn't try to change herself to appeal to a man. Even yet, I did find myself getting a little frustrated with Kate, especially because she continued to lack the guts to do action regarding the scenario that was constantly in front of her. But it also contributed to giving her character a more realistic edge.

Because they were all so expertly created, I absolutely enjoyed all of the characters in this. Ben kept to himself as his story developed. Despite the harsher tone of Julie's story, she had a profound impact on me throughout the entire book.

I really appreciated the author's emphasis on mental health and anxiety, and I gained a deeper knowledge of these important topics and the unseen struggles many individuals fight because to the author's use of different points of view and the glimpses of vulnerability they revealed.

She gave examples of how they affected the person, others around them, the strength of a support system, and the resistance to admitting you need help, especially if you don't believe you deserve to get better.

Even though the writing style is not my favorite and has certain shortcomings, I think you might still like the storyline and pacing of the story.

This novel is most definitely not the kind of romance you were hoping for when you started reading it, but in my opinion, it is more of a journey for someone who feels lost and behind, especially in light of the expectations of their culture, and anyone might connect to it.

But in the end, everything turned out okay. A pleasant book surprise.
