The Summary
Molly Gray is not like other people. She has trouble interacting with others and frequently misinterprets their intentions. In the past, her grandmother would translate the outside world for her and codify it into straightforward guidelines for Molly to follow.
Since Gran passed away a few months ago, Molly, age 25, has had to deal with the difficulties of life on her own. Whatever the case, she enthusiastically dives into her profession as a hotel maid. Her distinct personality makes her the perfect candidate for the position, as does her obsession with cleanliness and correct manners at the Regency Grand Hotel.
The day Molly visits the opulent and infamous Charles Black's apartment, however, her tidy life is upended when she discovers it in a chaotic state and Mr. Black dead in his bed. Before Molly realizes what's occurring, the police have her as their top suspect due of her peculiar behavior. Luckily for Molly, she teams up with pals she didn't even know she had in order to look for information about what actually happened to Mr. Black. However, will they be able to identify the real culprit before it's too late?
My Review
As much as I tried to get involved in the novel, I discovered that it had some rather minor flaws, such as a slow pacing in the beginning when Molly's cleaning was the main focus. Her character's pointless description dragged on for me.
The plot itself is excellent! There is thrill, tension, and excitement in abundance. Unfortunately, the characters might use more development, as I found reading it to be quite frustrating. This book is actually an ok read, in my opinion. You can still enjoy it, but I advise against having high expectations.
Overall, I still enjoy this book, though not enough to read it again soon.
My ratings score:

★★★ Good work! Nothing particularly remarkable, but still nice.
★★ Meh... Mediocre with great room for improvement.
★ Extremely Poor.
