The Summary

After a brief engagement, Roisin Kelly married aspiring author Brody Brady in spite of the doubters and objectors.

Once a year has passed, Roisin's honeymoon is officially gone. As Brody writes his masterwork and she treads carefully, he has become her recluse, freeloading lodger.

Roisin dreams of leaving the monotony of her job at the Council Planning office. She lacks the confidence to pursue her genuine loves, which are cooking and entertaining her family and friends. Roisin has no choice but to agree to serve as the event's head chef after her best friends Richard and Jools suggest a charity supper club.

Roisin begins to feel that there is more to life than grumpy authors, hamsters, and bad manners with the aid of her pals, and that perhaps she has some dreams of her own.

And that your entire universe can alter right when you think life has nothing left to offer.

My Review

Beyond words, such a beautiful book! Because it is so entertaining, fascinating, and realistic, I read the pages quickly.

The story started out a little slowly for me, but as it went on, I found myself wanting to read more. The story was both comforting and motivating, and it made you feel like you were a part of the action as you read it.

The main character, Roisin, was a very intriguing person who I connected with right away. In her strong friendships and her efforts to change her life, Roisin finds strength. By the end of the story, she had transformed from a character into more of a friend.

The supporting characters in the story added so much charm and fun. are superbly rendered, and the conversations and interactions are funny and endearing as well. The smaller stories of love, discovery, community, and friendship interspersed throughout the main plot make you smile and tug at your heartstrings.

The plot was generally comforting even though it was rather predictable. such amiable writing styles that are easy to understand and work with. The emotional content is also really masterfully handled; the whole book is sprinkled with a gentle warmth that I quite loved, and I always relish an unexpected second chance romance in particular. There are some of the funniest touches ever as well.

The descriptive language took me to a small Irish village. If you want a brief, heartwarming read that will have you thinking about the ideal life you've been putting off, I wholeheartedly recommend reading this book.
