The Summary
The last place Eve Beckett anticipated finding herself was on an island. She has no recollection of getting to the ominous Lakeview Manor on the Isle of Esse since she is fatally scared of the water. However, her enjoyment of a good mystery, particularly when it involves weird homes and the supernatural, makes her question her wish to leave.
But something strange is happening at Lakeview. A mystery figure who only Eve seems to be able to see moves between dusty, dark chambers.
The manager of the property cautions them to stay away from his brother, who Eve has no desire to avoid, and Eve's mirror twin, who similarly has no memory of how she got to the island, shows up, the amount of mysteries surrounding Lakeview grow overwhelming. The question of whether Eve will ever leave the island arises as she learns more about the house and its residents.
My Review
This novel made me incredibly happy. I was unable to comprehend what was taking place. bends and shocks are present, and to the very end.
I've never read anything like it, which is, in my opinion, incredibly positive.
When the lethal components are taken out of the plot, you are left with a sense of mystery novels.
The book begins in an unfamiliar setting where it's hard to tell where you are. The narrative then continues as it naturally and unexpectedly takes unforeseen twists.
If you were to ask me if the atmosphere is intimidating, I would respond that I find it to be amazing rather than frightening. Without using painstaking and extensive descriptions, the author was able to establish a sense of atmosphere.
The characters were superbly developed, and the plot flowed beautifully. Numerous turns can be found. incredible descriptions This kind of literature will be read while you try to figure out what is really going on.
I had a lot of fun with this. This is one of those books that will stay with you for a while.
