My Review
This book was excellent. With a tiny bit of romance that has been building for quite a few volumes, this is a perfectly good mystery.
The storyline was fascinating and engrossing. There is a strong connection between several of the main characters. They all have incredibly strong yet contradicting personalities, which is one of the reasons I found it difficult to put this book down. Small-town politics are ubiquitous in this story, and it's intriguing to see how the major people handle them.
Because I'm interested in learning how these characters came to hold the positions they do, I'm tempted to read the previous books in the series. The book is actually pretty simple to read, and the story moves along quite quickly.
If you like straightforward mysteries with narratives that have hints of depth, pick up this book.
Despite receiving a free advance copy from Booksirens, I choose to give this review voluntarily.
