The Summary

The summers in the Maine seaside town of Noquit are peaceful and restful, unless you discover a mysterious dead body, run into a hot ex-boyfriend, or begin receiving guidance from ghostly ancestors.

The exact same thing occurs to Morgan Blackmoore.

As she is thrust into a perilous treasure hunt and pitted against modern-day pirates who believe she holds the key to a three hundred year old secret, she finds herself suddenly in a race against time.

The fact that one of her sisters is constantly communicating with the ghost of their deceased grandmother, another possesses crystals with unusually potent healing properties, and her cat has an uncanny propensity for appearing at precisely the right moment and place complicates matters even further.

Not to mention that Morgan finds herself fighting her desire to her ex-boyfriend, Luke Hunter, who unexpectedly returns to town after ten years away from home and claims he wants to assist her fight off these dangerous pirates.

Will Morgan outsmart the scavengers and track down the real murderer before Sheriff Overton locks her up?

What about Luke? Is he really a kind person or is he only interested in the treasure for himself?

My Review

This volume is the next in the Blackmoore Sisters book series. The book was great. If the reader chooses to read the book independently, they won't feel lost or perplexed.

The story's main characters are four sisters who share a home with their cat Belladonna in Maine. Every sister in the family has a distinctive quirk that enhances their charm and provides depth to the story.

In this delightful adventure, magic and pirates are reignited along with a long-lost love. Despite the fact that it was more of a treasure hunt than a mystery, reading this was a lot of fun. Also, there was a bit more supernatural activity this time.

It frequently features less complicated plots and suspects. Although it nearly seems as though the identity of the murderer has already been revealed to you, your goal is to ascertain why.

Once more, it was a quick read that wasn't challenging. Although the characters aren't especially deep, they appear interesting enough that I was interested in seeing how things turned out for them in the end. The plot has enough action to keep me intrigued.

Overall, I liked the book and found the plot to be captivating.
