The Summary

Despite being extremely intelligent and single, Lucy Valentine is ineligible to start a matchmaking business. But Lucy must step up and assist in the name of love when her parents temporarily leave the family company, Valentine, Inc.

Her rent is also due.

The issue is that Lucy isn't very good at finding compatible partners. Every Valentine has been granted the power by Cupid to read "auras" and match ideal partners, according to family lore. not Lucy though. She lost her abilities in an electrical shock years ago, and all she can do now is look for misplaced items. What use is that in the world of dating? You would be shocked. Everyone in a city like Boston is searching for something. Therefore, Lucy hires the hot private eye who lives upstairs to assist her in solving the ideal crime when she discovers a missing wedding ring on a dead body. Who knows, though? While she's doing it, maybe she'll stumble onto the ideal partner.

My Review

Truly, Madly by Heather Webber is the first volume in the Lucy Valentine Mystery series. A terrific start to a series that I adored.

I finished it quite quickly. Without waiting until the very end to give away all the answers at once, Heather Webber did a great job of weaving enigmatic events into the storyline throughout the whole novel. The way things turn out, there are always new developments and conclusions.

The novel is engaging and progresses quickly. You are engaged in the main character the entire time thanks to the likeable characters, exciting plot, and interesting point of view.

Lucy is such an intriguing character, she is tough but kindhearted, and she makes it seem as though there are subtleties beneath her polished exterior.

Although there are some paranormal components in this book as well, there is no intimacy or an epilogue because this is not a romance story.

The word "charming" is the best one to use to describe this book. If you like cute things, check it out because it's a tasty piece of cerebral candy that won't insult your intelligence.
