The Summary

The news Zoe Chambers-Adams has been dreading is delivered as she prepares for a third day of looking for a missing woman in Monongahela County: a body has been located. There is no question after what she finds at the crime scene: the missing woman was brutally murdered. Even worse, the way the victim died is similar to how the Monongahela Strangler terrified the county while Zoe was a high school student. Although the killings ceased, the matter was never completely resolved. And now that guests are coming to town for Zoe's 20th high school reunion, the memories of those spooky times come flooding back.

However, Zoe's new spouse, Vance Township Police Chief Pete Adams, has a different perspective on the slaying. A prohibited bond between the children of two feuding families is revealed by his research. Up until Pete's relentless investigation reveals a connection between his top suspect and Zoe's serial killer, the murder seems to be a crime of passion. Suddenly, the predator threatens to harm someone close to both Zoe and Pete, so they have to move quickly to find the truth and apprehend the criminal before another helpless person is horribly murdered.

My Review

Another excellent series that is well worth checking out.

I read the eleventh series, but I don't think you really need to read the other books because this one can be read on its own.

Personally, I believe that we will find it challenging to uncover anything wholly original in a case because we will all be familiar with the crime, thriller, suspense, mystery, and related genres. However, the way the plot is presented is what distinguishes it.

They are not just able to hook you up in this novel, but I also really like how it keeps the reader interested. starting with the finding of a girl's body and ending with the final plot surprise, which I completely overlooked.

This has superb characters, a compelling story, a compelling storyline, fast pacing, and fantastic scenery. The entire narrative is genuinely quite enjoyable. Anyone would benefit much from reading this book, and as for myself, I would definitely think about reading the other series as well.
